Insert Push Button

Generates a push button on a wire for schematics.

Description

This tool automatically draws a Push Button (When Press ON) symbol on a line, commonly used in electrical drawings.

Update (v1.1): Updated on Oct 24, 2024, to support Polyline objects and standardized direction selection.

Symbol Scaling
The default circle diameter is 3mm (at scale 1). You can adjust the size by entering a scale factor (e.g., inputting 2 results in a 6mm diameter).
Directional Control
The position of the button (left/right) is determined by the direction point you select relative to the line.

How to use

(First Run Only) Enter the Symbol Insertion Scale (e.g., 1).

  1. 1.Type pb1 in the command line and press Enter.
  2. 2.Select the Line or Polyline where the symbol will be placed.
  3. 3.Click a point to define the Direction (select one of the two directions along the line to determine button orientation).
To Change Scale Later
Type fac in the command line, press Enter, and input a new scale value.
