Extend Line Length

Extends or trims an object by a specific numerical input.

Description

This tool allows you to extend or shorten the length of selected lines by a specific value.

Batch Operation
You can select multiple lines at once using a crossing selection (two points) to modify all their endpoints simultaneously.
Positive/Negative Values
Entering a positive value extends the lines, while entering a negative value shortens them.
Compatibility
This is a dedicated Cadopilar Lisp tool and works only within Cadopilar.

How to use

The selected lines are immediately updated to the new length.

  1. 1.Type exx in the command line and press Enter.
  2. 2.Click Two Points to create a crossing selection window over the ends of the line(s) you want to modify.
  3. 3.Enter the Value to extend or shorten by and press Enter.
Example
Enter 35 to extend the lines by 35 units.
Example
Enter -30 to shorten the lines by 30 units.
